Ivan mkII is looking promising I reckon. He's just turned 21 and only been playing footy for 3 years. Big scope for improvement

I'm hoping Soldo's continued presence can enable us to trial a forward structure that, for significant periods, centres on Jack, Nank, Lennon plus mossies. At times, particularly in the second half when Soldo tires and is on the pine, forward structure will change to a smaller one. We need Structures A and B, and two forward entry patterns to match them. A key aim of this strategy it to allow Lennon to get in under their guard, especially when Martin is suddenly plonked in the goal square as well. I want to see pro-active tactics that keep opponents off balance. #wishfulthinking

Soldo is still a level or2 below AFL and he did fade out of the game in second half.

However no coincidence that 1) Nankervis ran the game out better and 2) Jack had his best game in some time.

We should stick with Soldo for 2 or 3 more years and see if he can continue the rise in performance.

Looking at the vfl highlights. Griff and Lennon worked really well together. If Soldo can hold down a spot until Griff returns it would be a good outcome for our smalls.

Someone just mentioned how Soldo helped Nank and Jack play better, but we got 3 from Butler, 2 from castagna and one from Rioli as well...add Edwards in the mix and the structure looked better albeit against #18 on the ladder.

I noticed some really nice hit outs from Soldo that he tapped behind his head right down Miles throat. I wondering if the fact that they have played so much VFL together this year and could read each other so well was an factor?

Could very well be the case.

There's also another possible explanation – that Soldo and Miles have a basic grasp of the English language, and sometimes Miles whispers to Soldo:
"Ivan, I'm going to stand behind you. If you wouldn't mind, could you please tap it backwards, right down my throat?"
"Yes, Anthony, it would be my pleasure."

Soldo also copped a bloody nose at the start of the 4th and went to the bench. They took a while to fix, at which stage we were cruising so may have just left him there. He did win the tap out that led to Dion's goal.

Soldo looked both nervous and super clumbsy at the start of the game
    It did settle
He clearly was a little unsure of his role , where to stand etc
For his development the next seven games in the ones would be nice and rather valuable
But can we afford the luxury ?

Now Nank is hardly an experienced veteran , he played well above is games and age
