    1. I can't believe umpires got away with what they did to us on the weekend. That was the most ridiculous display I have ever seen in the game and place it in the same category of cheating. There needs to be video replays of umpiring decisions that could change the game because they're far too inept to officiate the game.

    2. It's obvious Richmond have the same flaws that have always been there. It was made evident by the last 21 seconds. I still can't comprehend the setup during the final centre bounce. I'm not sure if it's Hardwick or the players, but I'm convinced there's something wrong with them.

We're probably good enough because so many teams are just as bad. But I have never seen the game so badly umpired before. It's so bad, this game is becoming a joke. And if this shit continues for Richmond, then there's no point watching. It's cheating because the same rules are not applied to us. It's simply not fair, so what's the point?

Dusty but wasn't his fault, sandi grabbed it and fumbled so dusty left Neale to swoop but last second sandi flipped it around the back of him and Neale was running that way

Sandilands also knocked Martin over, that was the pivotal moment, but there should have been a wall stopping the run. It was so bad, it was bloody awful. But if Mundy had missed the mark or the goal we would not be going down this track.
In retrospect we can analyse and find fault, truth is a lot of players were physically exhausted, perhaps Jack was too buggered to gallop up the other end. All the young guys lacked experience and poise and the captain didn't have many seconds to gather the troops.
I didn't like it, but I forgive them and as one of the footy panel said, it takes a good side to play badly for 3 quarters and still get back in one quarter. Not meaning a good side plays badly for three quarters, but was able to put it behind them and finish all over the opposition. You know what I mean. In Blacks venacular, Freo were London to a brick on at 3/4 time and fell in by a short half lip

They had plenty of time to gather troops just like GWS did, it was pure laziness and either bad coaching or coaching not getting through to their heads.
If anyone was allowed to have a brain fade it was Ellis for scoring the winning goal as we thought but you will see he was the first bloke to start telling guys push back now, and Grigg i think was the other, obviously alot didnt listen

Also, it was a year to the day that everything went right in the last 30 seconds or so against Sydney after they didn't kick to Franklin on the wing and ice the game. The frenetic final play lead to Lloyd kicking the winning goal after the siren. I watched that so many timed to see how it happened.
Collingwood couldn't keep GWS from winning either last week. It just worked for the Giants when Stevie J ran through the pack and goaled.

Our problems are many .... Personnel ... we are plugging holes with sub-standard players .. Elton, Batchelor, Soldo, et el. If we are calling out squibs then #5 has to be included..

Presence of mind / Learning to count chickens ..... for those players who go back .... what is the point of standing on the FB line .... if there was ever a time to fill the holes and block the run out of the centre that was it .... it only takes an extra 4 players ... two on the 50 meter line and 2 between the HBF & BP ..... poor coaching and poor leadership..

The nub of our problem is sustained performance and intensity throughout a game.... we are fourth quarter specialists ... cannot continue to win games hoping the opposition leave the door open which has afforded us 2 of our 5 wins. We are ranked equal 1st in the comp for our Q4's winning 6 of 8. Along with Geelong (same issues) Adel, GWS and Port.
Our 1st quarters are average .... our 2nd and 3rd quarters are diabolical.... we are ranked 17th ... having only won 2 of 8 for both quarters. We have not won both 2nd and 3rd qtrs against any team. Given we have won 5 games, this is most concerning.

Unfortunately there are only a handful who give a 120 minute performance every game ... Nankervis, Grigg and Martin are three.

Lots to fix .... but we don't have a full complement of AFL level players to call on at this time ... it's all WIP ....

You want to see plugging holes @Lazza? wait until Hardwick makes his forecast changes this week and brings in Hunt and Morris.

Folks, as much as it pains all of us, the game is done. We cannot win it now, as much as we could not win it 10 seconds after the siren.

What is important, is what happens now.

New week, new game, new focus.

    I can, many times.
I like Miles too but he's not quick enough for this year's game style, has no defensive side and doesn't seem to get the game plan.
Lloyd is unlucky, but his spot has been taken by the mids rotating at FF.

Well call me Nostradamus, not only had I thought we fluffed it at 3/4 time, they fluffed it a second time after we hit the front. Richmond you are killing me with your 3rd quarters!

His run off half back in past years has been good. Could put up with his defensive lapses when he was good attacking

Would actually love to have some more run off half back this year.

Actually, I wouldn't. I want the game played forward of centre for us, with some small time in the defensive part of the centre square, purely for tension and release purposes.

    *sigh* not gunna happen though.

Not just JON - we have a lot of ex players ahead of Bachar in the "worst" stakes. Quite a few first round selection in that mix too.

Just watched the vision from behind our goals towards our backline. Sandilands wins tap to left. Grigg gets his hands to the ball but cant control it (maybe should have hit it away towards the wing). Ball comes back to Sandilands. Martin goes to grab it but Sandilands pushes the ball left again around his body but with no real control but straight to Neale. In the process Sandilands collides with Martin knocking him out of the contest (although don't think Martin could have held Neale who was away.

Neale approaches the edge of the centre square, heading in direct line towards goal, and gives the kick everything he has (with head down not looking where the kick is going). From behind you can see he is aiming at the goal square. However kick goes left. All our guys are manning up expecting the kick long to goal square. Grimes is goal side of Mundy. Mundy reacts first and runs to his right to mark. Grimes cannot make up the ground.

Pure dumb luck looking at that footage. Wont happen again in 100 years.

    Wise advice @BigTigerCasey
No need to stoke the embers.
Actually, my elderly uncle has heart arrhythmia, he has doctor's orders not to view live matches on television.
Seriously, because it might trigger a seizure.
In all seriousness, he was a dedicated detective and had to work on Grand Final days so he never saw a premiership live.
What we saw served up for the first three quarters was a disgrace to his service.
